Dayton, OH – January 17, 2014 – Beta LaserMike, a leading global provider of precision measurement and control solutions, today announced the company has named Robert McLaughlan Service Manager for EMEA and Henk Hekkema Service Group Leader, Repairs and Support for EMEA. The appointments underscore a heightened commitment to delivering consistent, premier value-added services across this region.
As EMEA Service Manager, Robert McLaughlan will oversee the overall customer service and support operation as well as play a key role in executing best practices in service delivery. He will work closely with Ken Bornhorst, Director of Global Service and Business Development at Beta LaserMike, to execute strategic service and support programs in line with the company’s mission.
Mr. McLaughlan brings over 20 years of extensive experience in service and engineering management to the Beta LaserMike team. For the past five years, Mr. McLaughlan served as Director of Engineering for Cardwave Services Ltd – a specialist technology services company. Mr. McLaughlan was responsible for delivering value-added product support and customer-engineered solutions, as well as leading product development and project management to increase revenues, reduce operational costs, and increase customer satisfaction. Mr. McLaughlin has a B.S. in Electronic Engineering and Masters in Engineering and holds a number of professional certifications.
As EMEA Service Group Leader for Repairs and Support, Henk Hekkema will support field service and depot repair operations. He will provide both on-line and on-site customer service and support for Beta LaserMike’s software- and hardware-based product platforms. With his diverse language capabilities, Mr. Hekkema will play a key role in supporting Beta LaserMike’s German-, Dutch-, Spanish-, and English-speaking customers. Mr. Hekkema comes to Beta LaserMike from Pace PLC and Kostal UK Ltd. with over 10 years experience in the design, manufacture, and configuration of automated testing equipment for a wide range of applications, including automotive and telecommunications. Mr. Hekkema holds a 1st Class Bachelor of Engineering.
